Full Size (Standard): Typically larger with a 25mm or larger objective lens.

Compact: Modern, compact and foldable binoculars with an objective lens of less than 35mm.

Wide Angle: Full size binoculars with a wide angle view.

Zoom: Variable magnification allows closer viewing very quickly with the same binocular.

Waterproof: Sealed with O rings. Some binoculars are also fog proof. These are filled with nitrogen to stop internal condensation on the lenses etc.

Focus Free: These differ from any other type of binocular in that they do not require any focusing. Any point over 15mm away from the observer will be in focus. This makes the focus free ideal for a sporting event, especially where the plat moves rapidly.
